John McCain is a Class Act
John McCain was not my first choice for the Republican Presidential Nominee. If truth be told, he might not have made the top 5. I believe the Republican National Committee gave this race up before it even started. I think anyone worth their salt did not run because they thought they would be running against Hillary and the Clinton machine. Well Obama set the country on its end and now he and the democratic controlled Congress and Senate will have 2 years to prove themselves. I hope he is the man he has portrayed himself as.Now for McCain. Not my first choice, he made a lot of mistakes during the campaign and it was too late, but probably gave the best speech of the campaign last night after it was over.
It was a classy speech, it showed character and you can trust that he meant this “I urge all Americans ... I urge all Americans who supported me to join me in not just congratulating him, but offering our next president our good will and earnest effort to find ways to come together to find the necessary compromises to bridge our differences and help restore our prosperity, defend our security in a dangerous world, and leave our children and grandchildren a stronger, better country than we inherited.”
Let’s see if President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are classy enough to work the Republicans to get something positive accomplished.
